Breakfast was savoury and complementary, we loved the location of the place.
The location was marvellous and fantastic, near an engaging museum. The hotel room was tastefully decorated and generous-sized with a large balcony and total equipment, as example. The service provided there was impeccable. We were there for 3 nights, overall had a really nice stay.

Efficient, friendly reception and staff generally. Good breakfast. Good views of Lisbon.
Bed was very firm. Staff seemed to struggle to provide the tea/coffee facilities in the room. These were provided on the second day but without any milk or spoons. However, this was easily remedied by reception staff.

The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of local pastries.
The hotel was situated on a very steep hill, making it challenging to walk back after a long day.

Charming Escape with Fine Views
The decor and views from the terrace were amazing. The staff's warmth and assistance were second to none. For future guests, explore the nearby Alfama area for authentic restaurants and amazing architecture. Just be prepared for steep walks back to the hotel.

The calm situation, no noise during the night, we could leave the windows open. Large and pleasant room. Beautiful view over the city
The house facing the hotel (a ruin) as well as the abandoned "garden" do not give a very good image of the hotel when arriving... They should buy the garden and use it, or build a terrace...! They should anyway have a common terrace, it would be great.

The location, in the old part of the city and close to Castle as well as Fado places. Nice view on Lisboa from the terrasse. Walking distance from downtown by steps or by old tramway
Very complex to arrive by car and not well indicate or explain during reservation. Access to th street is limited to local people.

Couple's getaway in style
One morning we sat on the balcony just soaking in the sun and the view was nothing short of amazing, seemed like we were on top of the world. The staff surprised us with a complimentary bottle of Cava for my wife's birthday.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but for what we got, it was still reasonable.

The breakfast was excellent and the hotel was nice and quiet to stay with a child,
the way from the town centre was difficult to figure out, because there were small lanes and streets crossing in very unbelievable way. For old people and people with disabilities the way is difficult to walk, because there are little hills and round stones on the streets

-great view of the city of Lisbon-good restaurants nearby-some uphill walking which we enjoy-good trolley stops nearby so easy access to the whole city(buy a multi-day transportation pass for trolleys, Metro, Funicalaire, to save a bundle)

Perfect view and comfy stay!
Just spent 4 nights here and it was awesome! The room was massive and super clean. We had a killer view. Staff were always helpful, even got tips on local spots. Breakfast was nice too, and we loved hanging out at the bar. The walk back is pretty steep though, so just be ready for that.

Terrific location, above the city noise, quiet street beneath castle, but centrally located. The staff and service were excellent, multilingual, and helpful. Great views.

The location is excellent, just a short walk to major attractions, but be prepared for a steep uphill trek with your luggage. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a fantastic balcony with a view. Enjoyed good ice cream from the nearby shops, and the staff were very good, provided thoughtful gestures for special occasions.

The staff were excellent and extremely professional.
The wireless was often only useable in the lounge areas. The signal was often week in my room and was always "bumping" me out; I'd lose my work and wouldn't know that i was no longer logged in until I tried to send something. If you are working with on-line databases, this is very frustrating, making this hotel unsuitable for business travel.
